Hey, I'm Dima Volkov. My roots are in Moscow, but these days I'm living as a digital nomad. Currently based in Bangkok, at least until my next spontaneous decision.

I'm a creative person who loves coming up with ideas and turning them into visual concepts. I like having structure, but I'm also a fan of taking risks, making spontaneous decisions, and stepping into the unknown.

I easily connect with different people and feel comfortable in new environments. And if I had to pick one superpower, it would be staying calm when everything around me is going wrong. Not the typical “stress-resistant” line from a CV, but actually being able to think clearly and make decisions when time is running out.

Where creativity meets management

I have a bachelor's degree in Project Management from RANEPA University. At some point, I realized that I could combine my professional skills with something I genuinely enjoy — developing creative ideas and turning them into visual experiences.

I love working with people, managing teams in chaotic environments, and solving problems when there's no obvious answer. For me, the most interesting projects are the ones where creativity meets uncertainty, and you have to figure things out along the way.

Outside of work

Traveling is probably my favorite way to spend time outside of work. I love exploring new places, discovering different cultures, and seeing how people live. Living as a digital nomad gives me the opportunity to experience places beyond a typical vacation.

Gaming is serious business. Kind of.

Dima at a gaming café

I've been into video games for as long as I can remember. Dota 2, PUBG, Counter-Strike, Overwatch, Apex Legends, and plenty of single-player games. I enjoy both competitive multiplayer and getting completely lost in a good story.

A random fact: while traveling through Vietnam, I visited almost every gaming café I could find, from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi.

Some people collect magnets. Apparently, I collect gaming club experiences.

Chess

Is another hobby that has stayed with me for years. I've played around 4,000 games on Chess.com and even studied at Ian Nepomniachtchi's chess school. I guess I just enjoy games where one bad decision can ruin everything.

Making things just for fun

Outside of work, I enjoy experimenting with design and 3D. I use Photoshop, Figma, and Blender to explore ideas, create visuals, and learn new things. I don't consider myself a professional 3D artist — I just like making stuff and seeing where it goes.

I'm also actively exploring AI tools, both for everyday tasks and creative work. ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Higgsfield have become part of my regular toolkit. I like experimenting with new technologies and finding ways to turn them into something useful or visually interesting.

Things that inspire me

I'm always collecting visual references, interesting ideas, and creative projects that catch my attention. I especially enjoy work that combines a strong visual identity with an unusual approach to storytelling. Here are a few creators and projects I keep coming back to.
